I really really REALLY liked Mr. Cheung as a teacher. He is really talented. He is also REALLY nice. He is amazing at drawing. He taught  me a lot of cool stuff. Mr. Cheung is the BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD.

In Second Grade I loved playing Treasure Hunt. Treasure Hunt is when someone has to say to go get something. Then the other people need to go get the thing. it can be “go get something that starts with the first letter of your first name.” or go get something that is bigger than you.” Whoever comes back first wins.

I loved drawing on Fridays. On every Friday in the afternoon we would draw. Mostly Mr. Cheung would  teach us and sometimes our classmates would teach us!! We would not just draw. We would also do origami. Drawing every Friday was awesome.

 

 

My name is Nick and I am a miner. I am 32 years old. I work 2 hours a day. I get 150 dollars if I find a diamond, and I get 100 dollars for a amethyst. It is a pretty fun job.

One day I was mining and I found a huge emerald! It was so bright! I secretly brought it home. At two in the morning it was glowing a really bright lime color. All of the sudden the emerald started speaking to me in a spooky voice. It said “I will give you the power to say, whatever  you want, and I will make it appear.”

 

The next morning I tried my power out by saying “I want a new shiny iron pickaxe.” And it appeared! I was so exited to use my power
more! Then I got a gold ingot, 4 diamonds, and 2 amethyst!

I went outside to get some fresh air. It was a nice sunny morning. I saw a little creature and I did not know what it was. It was as short as a gnome and had a black hat on. Al of the sudden the thing jumped out right onto me! Everything went black.

I woke up in a dungeon. The little creature came by and said “the emerald that gives you power attracts my kind.” The creature said in a squeaky voice. I gasped. I was so SCARED.

I used my power to make a key to get out of the dungeon. But there were guards swarming the place. They had iron armor and iron axes. Then all of them noticed me. Then I said “it’s on.”. I charged at them. When I was running I used my power to get armor and a sword.

Right when I was running  I jumped over all the gnomes and ran out the door. I ran back home as fast as I could. When I got home I sat in bed and watched TV. I fell asleep at ten-forty-five. I woke up the next morning and had breakfast, I had eggs, bacon, and toast.

I went to my anvil outside in my blacksmith shack. I got the emerald and put it on my anvil. Then I got my hammer and, CRASH!!!!!!! I destroyed the emerald!! Then I went to take a nap. I woke up two hours later. “No gnomes in sight!!” I said happily. After that day I was so happy. Also the gnomes never came again.

Preparations:

We built a deck last year and there was some wood left.  We got the bolts and wood first. And then we got the drill. We had to get lots of different bolts for big and small places. And then it was time to start building.

Building:

We made our bird feeder with cardboard and Ipe wood from the deck. We started by making a model with no bolts. Then we started building the sides and the front and back with bolts. It was hard to build because Ipe wood is very very strong.

 

Testing:

We decided to put it on our pergola (playset).I got the bird feeder up by myself. I really like my bird feeder design. I think I did a really good job on the painting.

 

Facts:

The bird feeder is eight inches tall.

The bird feeder is attached to my playset with a carabiner.

The food inside the bird feeder contains mashed peanuts.

The Automatic Alarm. My invention will help so when you go to bed it will set your alarm. I wanted to invent it because I always wake up late.  Also I have to rush.

When you lay down it will activate a pressure plate that has wires that will set your alarm. My invention will also tip you out of bed onto soft pillows when your alarm rings. It will have a wood piece that tips you out of bed.

My invention is important because it will help a lot of people be late to school and work. It will combine with Marlow’s invention. So his invention: the alarm rings and it is turned off  automatically and my invention pushes you out of bed onto the soft pillows.

 

I think you should by my worm coin picture. Mostly because I did a really  good job on the worm coming out of the ground. He even has a name!!!!! His name is Wealthy the Worm.  🙂

I think that he should give a math award. I think he should give the award to Jonathan.

 

I think Jonathan should get the award because he always answers the math questions right.

He also always helps in the breakout rooms like when he helped me when I could not figure out a math problem he helped me figure it out

 

He always volunteers to help in math games. He is very helpful and nice to everyone. 😉

Do you know what the biggest animal on earth is? It is a BLUE WHALE!!!! I am going to be telling you lots of facts about  this amazing mammal.

 

Diet

Blue whales eat krill by sucking in thousands of gallons of seawater. Krill are like tiny shrimp. Blue whales have baleen. Baleen is made of the same stuff as human fingernails. They push the water out with their tongues while the krill stays stuck in their baleen.

 

Body

A female blue whale is about 82 feet long. A male is about 79 feet long. Blue whales are a lot bigger than a Megalodon!!!!!!

They have a layer of fat called blubber. It keeps them warm in cold oceans. It is the same stuff Emperor penguins have. 

 

Language 

Blue whales speak a language that sounds like a  bunch of oooohh- ahhoooohaaaaahooooohaaah. It is so loud it can pop a human’s ear drum!!!!!! Also other whales in the ocean can hear it from thousands of miles away.
